About The Silver Dahlia
The Silver Dahlia began with a story that started long before the shop itself. When I was growing up, my grandmother often traveled to the Western US and would return home with beautiful turquoise and sterling silver jewelry. Each piece felt special and full of character, and I remember being fascinated by the colors of the stones and the craftsmanship of the silver. Those early memories sparked a lifelong appreciation for Southwestern jewelry and the artistry behind it.
My name is Kate, and I’m the multi-tasker behind everything at The Silver Dahlia. From sourcing and curating pieces to photographing and listing them online, every part of the shop is handled with care and attention. Before building The Silver Dahlia, I spent over 16 years working as a photographer, which shaped my eye for detail and my love for capturing beautiful objects. That experience now carries over into the way I present each piece of jewelry, highlighting its character, craftsmanship, and natural stone.
The Silver Dahlia is built around a deep appreciation for handcrafted 925 sterling silver jewelry, particularly pieces featuring turquoise and other natural stones. Many items in the collection reflect the traditions of Southwestern silversmithing, including Navajo and Zuni artistry.
One artist whose work I especially admire is Leander Tahe. His pieces embody the timeless elegance and craftsmanship that first drew me to this style of jewelry.
Today, The Silver Dahlia is a place where those early inspirations continue to live on. Each piece is thoughtfully chosen with the same sense of wonder I felt when my grandmother returned home with treasures from the West. My hope is that every piece you discover here carries that same feeling of beauty, history, and connection.
